How it works
One work. Singular attention.
A single-lot auction — one masterpiece per sale, not a marketplace. Four movements carry a work from its announcement to its new collection.
01 · Discover
The single work, announced.
One masterpiece is brought forward to members — large, on a white wall, nothing competing for the eye. Museum imagery, full provenance, the condition report, scholarly notes. No catalogue noise, no competing lots. The work speaks; everything else recedes.
02 · Preview
A considered window.
Private viewings in London, Mumbai, New York and Dubai — a five-to-seven-day window to sit with the work in person. Time to study it closely, to ask, to be certain. Works of this gravity demand singular attention, and the preview gives it the room it deserves.
03 · Bid
Present in the moment.
A live auction at a scheduled moment. Members bid in real time, and you must be present — there is one work, and every collector’s undivided attention is on it. A considered encounter, decided in the room.
04 · Acquire
The work passes to its new custodian.
White-glove logistics, insurance and customs are arranged on your behalf; a buyer’s premium of 10% applies. The work leaves Volte for a single collection — held, henceforth, by its new custodian.
By invitation
Membership is reviewed individually. Each request is considered with care — as the work is.
